Blog 8: Research and Working EQ

1.  What is your working EQ?
What can you do to help a teen prevent him/herself from having suicidal thoughts?

2.  What is a possible answer to your working EQ? Please write the answer in thesis format.
EQ: What can you do to help a teen prevent him/herself from having suicidal thoughts?

•  Being active to be able to forget about anything
•  Avoiding social medias, since most people see things they don't want on there.

3.  What is the most important source you have used that has helped you come up with an answer to your working EQ?
The most important source at the moment would be going to Tri-City. One of my mentors told me that having the children being active would really help the child keep their mind off of things.

4.  Who is your mentor, or where are you doing mentorship, and how does what you are doing relate to your working EQ?
My mentor is Patricia Azevedo and I actually haven't started my mentorship hours but I am going to start next week. I’m going to be mentoring a child that is depressed and has ADHD. This will help me answer my eq because since I will be around to be able to distract her from stuff and see what actually helps a child stay away from suicidal thoughts.
